This is a wonderful place to stay. The standard of accommodation is excellent with all mod cons, large screen TV with Sky, cooker, oven microwave, dishwasher. Lovely welcome pack too. Couldn't fault a thing and it's pet friendly. Richard the owner is so lovely and welcoming and can't do enough to help. Highly recommended. The location is perfect too. We had a fabulous time.
The owner is friendly and very helpful. The accommodation is compact but brilliant, hot water and everything! Believe me in our travels over the past six weeks, hot water is a luxury! There was a welcome basket of goodies and bootle of wine - the complimentary bits are never-ending! There is outside seating and a small children's play area as well as a country pub next door. We also have a large dog which makes staying somewhere like this very difficult but all pets are made very welcome there were even some dog treats in the welcome basket. You would have to go a long way to find better.
Nice selection of beers. Locals are friendly and dogs are welcome. The pub has its own Labradors who are very friendly too.
Was in the area so popped in to watch the rugby, landlord and locals were very welcoming - and half time sausage&bacon rolls were amazing!!. Great little pub.
Had a fabulous afternoon here, the landlord and locals very friendly and welcoming. Dogs were allowed also, who were looked after by staff making sure they had water. Looking forward to going back.
We stayed here and it’s dog friendly and the hospitality was 10/10! We were warmly welcomed, the facilities excellent with everything we needed and the people, amazing! We even had a little BBQ outside and the hosts did everything to please us!
We had a lot of family visiting who couldn't all stay with us....our family visitors had a great time staying here. Great location and such thoughtful welcome gifts. Rich was on hand to help with any queries and gave everything a personal touch. Would definitely recommend!
Visited here on the first Monday of the month for Bingo night to support Forest of Dean baby bank. Raised £213. Great fun and won some prizes. Visited again the following month to support Woolaston Young Farmers and raised £616. Again fun. Both nights it was busy. Good drinks. No food. Fun, welcoming and friendly landlord. Set in a pretty village.
